The book Wild Roses by Deb Caletti describes a teenager’s life of parent’s divorces, fights with the parents, and their own relationships. The main character Cassie is still struggling with her parents’ divorce since three years ago. She describes the feeling of being shifted around from her Dads house and back to her Moms as "being an envelope that has the wrong address on it and it keeps getting shipped back to its return address." In the beginning of the book (chapter 1) is of Cassie complaining of her new step-father and how disrespectful he is to both her and her mother and she can’t see how her mother loves him, even though he is the famous violin player; Dino Cavalli. The second chapter is about Dino retelling his childhood stories to Cassie and how he named his dog after the man he hates the most. Third chapter is about how a violin player is getting lessons from her step-father and how she falls in love at first sight. So far in this book it has described a regular teenager’s life that has had to live through divorce and many other trails.
